Five limited production SSC Ultimate Aero XT models will be built as a proper send off for the supercar, as the American automaker gets ready to produce its Tuatara model.
To give a hint of what’s to come, the Ultimate Aero XT incorporates several key elements from the Tuatara model, including its 6.9-liter, twin-turbocharged powerplant with 1,300 hp. The seven-speed paddle shift transmission is also transferred over to the limited edition XT, along with the exotic’s brakes, cooling and fuel system.
Most importantly to make the limited edition model that much more special, the aggressive paint scheme chosen by the customer will never be used again on an Ultimate Aero or Tuatara. Never’s a pretty long time, but that’s a good way to ensure your Ultimate Aero XT stands apart from any other on the market; as if having one wasn’t good enough.
After the limited production of five XT models, SSC will conclude the Ultimate Aero’s production.
